Merit Insurance Services, Inc. (originally Richmont Insurance Managers ) was founded in 1997 to serve the specific insurance and risk management needs of a large manufacturing and distribution company.

Merit currently places almost $16,000,000 in insurance premiums and has a staff of 17 employees. Each of the principals in the firm has large national insurance brokerage experience and has worked on national accounts. In June of 2002 our agency relocated to its new offices in the fast growing City of Frisco.

Although the user base was somewhat small, Merit came to Evolution Designs with the desire to upgrade their network infrastructure to something that they could feel confident in as well as implement a voice over IP telephone system and T1 connection to the Internet.

After installing a new server by Dell with Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, a robust Sonicwall firewall, and providing dedicated support, Merit Insurance Services has enjoyed added success because of the additional productivity that Evolution Designs has afforded them.
